In accordance with recommendations from the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia, as well as the Croatian Institute of Public Health, in the context of a coronavirus outbreak, the Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes (AMEUP) advises all beneficiaries of Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes to cancel or defer their travels abroad.

All lectures and classes at the Faculty of Political Science are cancelled starting from Monday, March 16 for a period of two weeks. Faculty administration will not be working with students during this period. Please follow the Faculty's web pages, intranet and your email for further updates.

All students who have been outside of the Republic of Croatian in the past 14 days are required to report to prof. Gordana Vilović the Vice-dean for academic and student affairs via email (gordana.vilovic@fpzg.hr) and remain in self-isolation for 14 days form returning to Croatia. Students displaying symptoms of respiratory disease (fever, cough, sore throat, or shortness of breath) must report to epidemiologist right away as directed by Croatian Institute of Public Health (https://www.hzjz.hr/aktualnosti/brojevi-telefona-hzjz-na-temu-koronavirusa/).

The conference is organized by the Center for International and Security Studies, Faculty of Political Science (University of Zagreb) and will take place in Brijuni Islands, Croatia (Hotel “Neptun”) from 21-23 May 2020. Exams are scheduled through Studomat. Students must register for exams once the registrations are open. Students must register for all courses and tutorials taken, even if they already passed the exam, or if there is no standard exam.

Guest lecture – Professor Tomohiko...

We would like to invite all exchange students to a guest lecture that will be given by the Professor Tomohiko Taniguchi from the Keio University. The lecture is scheduled for Tuesday, November 19 at 15:30 in Room A. In his lecture Professor Taniguchi will talk about the political and constitutional system of Japan; and Japanese politics, with emphasis on relations between Japan and the European Union.

Deadline for changing the Learning Agreement is Friday, October 18.

To make the changes official students must fill out During the mobility part of the Learning Agreement and send it to toni.kliskic@fpzg.hr for approval and signature, or bring it to the Office for International Cooperation. Afterwards, the document needs to be signed by the sending institution and sent back to toni.kliskic@fpzg.hr containing all three signatures (student, responsible person at the sending institution and responsible person at the receiving institution).

Students must remove courses they had in their Before the mobility part of the Learning Agreement they do not wish or are unable to attend, and they must add the courses they will be attending instead.

Profesor Azar Gat guest lectures

Professor Azar Gat will be visiting the Faculty of Political Science on April 23 and 24. Azar Gat is a national security professor at the University of Tel Aviv. In 1986 he received his doctorate from the Oxford University. His research interests include: the causes and evolution of war, military history and theory, military strategy and nationalism.

We would like to invite all exchange students to guest lectures:

„Is War Declining – Why and Where?“ to be held on April 23 from 13:45 to 15:15 in Room B.

Mikko Salo: ''A matter of...

Co-founder of Finnish Faktabaari (FactBar) and member of the European Commission's High-Level Group on Fake News and Online disinformation, Mikko Salo will give a lecture on the importance of quality journalism, fact checking, gate keeping and media literacy.

The lecture is scheduled for Thursday, April 11 from 13:45 to 15:30 at the Hall A of the Faculty of Political Science.

Canadian politician, member of parliament and the current Speaker of the House of Commons, Geoff Regan will give a lecture on “Democratic Values and Multilateralism: Our Guide in Turbulent Times” at the University's of Zagreb Great Hall (Trg Republike Hrvatske 14). The lecture is scheduled for Monday, January 14 at 3:30 pm.
